Sudan is in Situation of Danger in Face of Corona PandemicThe World Health Organization (WHO) stated that Sudan is in a situation of danger in the face of the corona pandemic, and attributed this to the seriousness of the pandemic and the country's ability to respond to any possible widespread outbreak of the disease. The World Health Organization said that the investment in the health system in Sudan has been limited for decades, and that Sudan lacks qualified medical staff and suffers from poor infrastructure, and lacks equipment and pharmaceutical supplies. The organization indicated that the health coverage and control system in Sudan is structurally weak and does not cover all the country; therefore there is a significant delay between the reporting of a pandemic and the response and confirmation on its spread.
