Higher Council for Peace Assured on Arrangements for Negotiations

Chairman of the Sovereignty Council, Lt. Gen. Abdul-Fattah Al-Burhan  received an official invitation  from President Of South  Sudan, Salva Kiir  Mayardit to attend the  opening sitting  of peace negotiations between  delegations  of government and armed movements , scheduled on  October 14  in Juba. The invitation  was  handed over   by  head of South Sudanese delegation, Tott Galwak who held a joint meeting with the Higher Council  for Peace  under  chairmanship of  Lt. Gen. Abdul-Fattah Al-Burahn, Chairman of the Sovereignty Council at the Guest House Friday.

The Council  got acquainted  with arrangements  and preparations  of State of South Sudan  for hosting  the negotiations. Member of the Sovereignty Council  and member  of  government  delegation  for negotiation, Mohamed Al-Hassan Al-Tayeshi  said in press statements after the meeting  that the  Council was assured  on  arrangements  made  by brothers  in  the  South Sudan for launching  peace talks on October 14, stressing  that it was made sure  that all participants from international  and  regional partners as well as  from  armed movements -,   in the negotiation process  have been invited He said  that the inaugural sitting  would be opened  by Chairman of the Sovereignty Council, Lt. Gen. Abdul-Fattah Al-Burhan and President of South Sudan, Salva Kiir in presence of presidents  of a number friendly  countries , pointing out that  South Sudan which shares commonalties  with Sudan  is  capable  to host  peace process.Head of  delegation of South Sudan, Tott Galwak underscored  completion of preparations  in Juba for  launching the  peace talks , stressing  his country keenness  on success of the negotiations  and realization of comprehensive  peace in Sudan.
