The caretaker Wali (governor) of Gedarif State, Maj. Gen. Nasr-Eddin Abdul-Gayoum, has inspected the impacts resulting the attacks of the Ethiopian militias, backed by the Ethiopian army, which took place on Thursday at the border Birka Norein area.The Wali (governor), inspected upon his visit to the Baraka Norein area and other locations affected by the events the preparations of the Sudanese Armed Forces stationed in the area to protect the agricultural sites and the joint borders.
He lauded patriotism and the valor of the forces stationed and their defence to lives of the citizens and the lands, praising the citizens of Birka Norein and the neighboring villages, the farmers sector and the native administration for their stand alongside the Armed Forces.The Wali (governor) has assured the seriousness of his government to secure the current agricultural season and to impose the prestige of the state at all the Fashaga area.
